The professional photographs are here, and they are great. Have a look at photo pages 3 through 9. for full-resolution files suitable for making prints.

In the Basement

Learning to Print

I made a silly little low-quality movie of Becky printing the wedding invitations from a linoleum block she cut.

Roaring Success, Good Time Had by All

Whole Thing Went Off With Only One Hitch

Thank you all very much for coming to our great party! It was a complete blast and we enjoyed ourselves immensely. We hope you did too. We really appreciate everyone's making the time to be here. We couldn't have done it without any of you. Our special thanks to everyone who helped us prepare for and perform the ceremony and reception.

Wondering just exactly what all that fabulous food was? Here is a buffet menu.

A few photographs have arrived from family and friends. Watch this space for more photos from the photographer, Karen Derby.

We are putting out the call for more digital photos anyone might like to share. If you send us the files we will make them available online (with your permission), or if they are online already, send us a link and we'll post it here.

Thanks again for coming; it was so much fun we wish we could do it again. Hope to see you again soon,

   ~ Becky and Charles

Where and When

Basics

Our ceremony and reception will be held on Saturday, July 24, 2004, at Seattle's Center for Urban Horticulture, a public garden and educational facility. It has a beautiful entry garden, a courtyard, and a grove.

You will likely find a map and driving directions useful. (You may also download a PDF of their map and directions.)

The doors open at 4:30, the ceremony will begin at 5:00, and a reception and buffet will follow immediately thereafter.

Info for Out-of-Towners

Group rate at the Mayflower Park Hotel

If you are interested (no obligation of course), we have secured a special rate for our out-of-town guests with the very wonderful Mayflower Park Hotel. They have a fitness room, wireless internet, bathrobes, Aveda toiletries, 24-hour room service, and lots of other amenities. Plus, it's right downtown near lots of restaurants, the Pike Place Market and the waterfront, the Seattle Art Museum, shopping areas, etc.

They have a variety of rooms available: the "Classic" at $159 is perfect for a single person or couple; if you want more space, there are luxury suites ($179) with a king or queen bed and a little seating area, or two queen beds (no charge for kids under 18 sharing a room with their parents).

If you rent a car for your stay in Seattle, parking in their garage (valet) is $21 a day (includes in and out privileges). Believe it or not, $21 per day is pretty good for downtown Seattle.

For reservations at the Mayflower Park, call toll free 800.426.5100 (locally: 206.623.8700), or email mayflowerpark@mayflowerpark.com. Don't forget to mention the Dobbins-Kiblinger wedding to get the special rate.

If you want to look at other hotel options, try Seattle Super Saver for great deals.

Transportation

If you don't rent a car, there are several ways to get to the hotel from the airport. Taxis and town cars run about $40 (they pick up on the 3rd level of the parking garage rather than from the lanes in front of the baggage-claim area like they used to). Shuttle Express, $21.50, is a van that takes several people to several different locations; it takes a little longer than a cab but it's a little cheaper. The Gray Line bus will drop you off at the Westin Hotel (one block away from the Mayflower Park) for only $8. Seattle Metro buses (#194) run from Sea-Tac airport to downtown evey half hour for $1.50.

We don't need a thing

Except you. We need you.

Honestly, the best and only gift we could ask for is your company at our celebration. However, we have had numerous requests for some sort of gift-registration information. Below is a short list of ideas.

Tim Foss Pottery
Our friend Tim has designed plates and bowls for us; examples of his fine work may be viewed at his website. (Call 206.652.5867 or .)

Ceramics and Art by Stephanie Hargrave
Our friend Stephanie also makes lots of nice things; see her website for contact information.

Serving Trays by Boris Bally
Our friend Andy Cooperman (who made our wedding rings) recommended some interesting, creative trays made by a friend of his, Boris Bally. Two that we like are available here and here.

Various "Green" Housewares at gaiam.com
We have an actual gift registry at this company's website.

Other Consumer Durables
A few things we like at Crate & Barrel, Williams-Sonoma, and Amazon.com. (We created actual gift registries at these sites also; search for Dobbins or Kiblinger.)

Walter Anderson
We like Walter Anderson books and watercolor prints.

DiStefano Syrah
Que syrah syrah from the DiStefano Winery.

"Dragonwell" Tea
Best green tea ever.
